Draw the Line
Sometimes people have to draw the line and say "enough is enough." That is exactly what the Autonomous Light Brigade was saying on the last full day of the summer of 2013.
The world has had more than enough of the tar sands exploitation that has led to the accumulating disaster at the points of extraction, transportation, and refining of tar sands. The devastation of thousands of square miles of Boreal forest and the poisoning of water and First Nations tribes where it is mined; the toxic spills into waterways and neighborhoods where it is piped or carried by rail; the contamination of air in schools, churches, and homes in refinery communities; it has to stop.
Joining with enlightened groups across the country, ALB is in agreement that it is time to draw the line.
